Testosterone also plays a key factor in the adolescent years of males, more so than females. Through this hormone the features that characterize a man are engendered such as, bodily hair, facial hair, muscular development, etc. Even in our twenties this hormone is abundant and can be attributed for muscular definition, increased bone density and fat loss. However, as we age, our priceless hormone also declines. For most of the world's male population this decline happens during their thirties, and keeps declining as they age. It is rare to see test-levels drop in a mans twenties, however, it is not impossible. What's further devastating is the fact that testosterone levels have been declining steadily every decade since the late 20th century.( Study On Declining T. Levels) I will write a post soon going in detail of the how's and why's of this hormonal decline.
However, we can fight this decline and actually raise it by taking care of ourselves in certain areas of our life. One of these areas and a huge part of it is diet! Low on saturated fat,(Although saturated fats are good for optimal testosterone production) and packing a ton of minerals and vitamins such as Vitamin D and Selenium, Bison meat is also said to be tastier than most red meat. This lean red meat might just be a better choice than regular beef if you happen to come by it at a supermarket, or if you're adventurous, in the wild.(Nutritional Value of Bison)

It has the ability to cross the blood-testis barrier and in turn create a chain effect increasing androgens, creating the body's natural steroids, as well as decreasing estrogen the female hormone. Combined with the fact that liver contains amino acids essential for muscle building and testosterone production, should make this food on the top of your list for your next trip to the supermarket.Wheat Bran
